Grief, Loss, Bereavement
Did you recently lose a loved one or close friend? Or perhaps you just learned someone you love is terminally ill? Are you experiencing intense feelings of grief and loss? Did your beloved pet pass away?
Grief is universal, yet we are never taught what to expect or how to take care of ourselves when we lose someone dear to us or when we are overwhelmed with anticipatory grief when we know a family member's passing is inevitable.

I act as a companion with my bereaved clients, guiding them through the process of grief and walking with them side by side as they heal.

I have attended multiple trainings on helping therapy clients with grief, and I continue to do so. More than half of my clients are experiencing some form of grief.

Caregivers
Are you the primary caregiver for a terminally ill parent or family member? Or perhaps you are the primary caregiver for a loved one with dementia, including Alzheimer's? Are you struggling with feelings of guilt and overwhelm?

Juggling your own family's needs, your home, and your career, in addition to caring for an ill loved one can be difficult and isolating. Caregivers often find it challenging to know when it's time for hospice and hesitate to take the first step.
80% of Americans suffering from some form of dementia are being cared for at home. When caregivers wonder if their family member would be better served in a nursing home, assisted living, or memory care home, it can trigger both feelings of guilt and relief.

With my life experience of caring for terminally ill family members, I can help you navigate this difficult time in your life. You are not alone, and you should not suffer alone.
I believe in the importance of building a solid client-therapist relationship, validating your unique experience, and helping you with your role as a caregiver. Taking care of yourself in this stage of life is crucial so you can continue to care for your loved one and make the right decisions for them. We can process your concerns, thoughts, and feelings in sessions, and I can also provide you with different resources to assist you.
